San Francisco General Hospital Demonstration

On Saturday April 30th, 2016 we held a demonstration at the Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital on the occasion of the World Tai Chi & Qigong Day.  Our team included Instructors Matyas Tamas, Brian Chung and 3 beginner students who demonstrated the Siu Nim Tau, self defense drills, Chi Sau aka Sticky Hands and continuous sparring. At the end of our demonstration, since the nature of the event encouraged the audience to participate in some exercises, we invited them to try the out the Wing Tsun kung fu's horse stance along with the hand movements from the first form. We would like to thank the organizer team and the East West Academy of Healing Arts for their hospitality.

What Our Students Are Saying

YELP
"The teacher, Sifu Matyas, is one of the most patient and skilled instructors I've experienced. Over a few months, he taught us basic techniques and defensive maneuvers combined with practical and efficient movements.  We have made a lot of progress on our skills and I have been very impressed with the results to both my physical health, physique and muscle tone, as well as sharpening my reaction skills."  - B. Y.

"This has been the most interesting and enjoyable of my experiences learning martial arts. Lessons are highly individualized based on your skill level and the pace at which you learn.  After group exercises at the beginning of each class session, the instruction is typically broken into small working groups of 3 and 4 students who are learning the same skills as demonstrated and coached by an instructor." -Jonathan S.

"Instruction and training is geared toward the individuals ability, hence one's development is in a way dependent on ones desire and commitment to learn. You will feel very comfortable in this school and accepted by everyone training there.." - Lester Y.

"A great place to learn Wing Chun. How do I know? I've been to many schools in many places. The way they teach is very methodical and you'll learn a lot in just six months of training. Also, they do stress emphasis on footwork, lots and lots of it which I found refreshing." - Tony M.
